Fresh focus for Hochiki Europe Exports and Partners

Leading life safety solutions manufacturer Hochiki Europe has appointed Richard Wharram as their new Export Sales Manager, replacing Mark Jones who has accepted a new role developing and managing Hochiki’s network of OEM partners across the export regions, enabling a greater focus and support for these partners.

Richard will work with the Export team to continue sales growth across Europe as the new Export Sales Manager, and he brings with him a wealth of experience having worked in the fire and security industry since 1993. Richard started his career as an apprentice electrician, progressing to a senior installation and commissioning engineer, before moving into the sales department. Here he established a trusted reputation, seeing projects through from cradle to completion, working on many prestigious projects.

Richard joined Hochiki in 2016 as a regional sales manager where he looked after Northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland contributing to a growth in the sales. He later moved into the Systems Sales Team to work with some of Hochiki’s biggest customers.  Commenting on the move Richard said:

“I am looking forward to working with our highly skilled sales team covering Europe and Africa. We have a lot of long-standing loyal customers across these two continents, and I am looking forward to meeting them and helping to grow their businesses.

Having come from an installation background, the team and I will be able to understand their requirements alongside Hochiki Europe’s vision to develop the markets here.”

Mark Jones’ transition into managing and developing the relationships with Hochiki’s OEM partner network is hugely exciting. Mark has been with the company for almost 25 years, and most of this time has been focused on export sales across varied territories. This new role will provide a greater focus and support to the Hochiki ESP panel and OEM partners who together form a significant part of the European operation with huge growth potential. Commenting on the move, Mark said

“I’m excited to work with our key partners and get to know them better to provide the best possible service. I know my global experience will be well matched with the way our partners like to operate and I’m looking forward to what we can achieve together.”

Commenting on the internal moves, Hochiki Europe Sales and Marketing Director Nathan Hudson said:

“This is an incredibly positive step for Hochiki Europe and for both Richard and Mark. I’m immensely proud of the work both have put into their previous roles and the relationships they have developed with our customers. I know that they will continue to build on this work ethic and develop the teams they now lead, both are dedicated to excellent customer service, and this is what Hochiki Europe is famous for.”
