KL Logistic’s sprawling 17,000m² warehouse in Galanta, Slovakia, presented a significant fire safety challenge. With racking soaring to 18 metres and holding a diverse range of goods, a rapid and reliable detection and evacuation system was paramount. Pro Metheus Slovakia, a trusted Slovakian fire safety specialist, stepped in to design and install a comprehensive Hochiki Europe solution.

The sheer scale of the warehouse demanded a robust and sensitive detection network. Hundreds of Hochiki ESP optical smoke sensors were strategically placed throughout the building, providing early warning capabilities. To safeguard the dense racking system, Hochiki’s FIRElink air sampling system was also deployed, ensuring even the most concealed areas were protected.

 

The entire Hochiki system was seamlessly networked using Hochiki's ESP protocol. Networked Hochiki HFP control panels served as the overall monitoring and control system, with ESP input and output modules facilitating integration with the warehouse's sprinkler system. This integrated approach ensured a coordinated response in the event of a fire.

 

 

Another feature of the system was a voice evacuation system, this combined with the rapid detection capabilities of the Hochiki system, ensures the safe and efficient evacuation of the warehouse staff in any emergency.
