Low Cost of Ownership

Luminaire batteries have an expected 10-year lifespan, and the low-voltage, self-testing design simplifies installation and maintenance, reducing costs compared with central battery or mains-powered systems over the system's lifetime.

Scalable & Reliable System

Each FIREscape Nepto control panel supports up to two lighting lines and 127 devices per line, with up to 12 panels networkable together — making it suitable for a single boutique hotel through to a large stadium or multi-site leisure group, all controlled from a single point.

Why Emergency Lighting for Hotels and Leisure Centres Matters

Hospitality and leisure-based buildings such as hotels, theatres, cinemas and sports stadia have unique requirements when it comes to life safety. They are busy environments that combine a high density of people, often over several different floors and areas. It is therefore important that, in the event of a power failure, escape routes remain clearly lit to ensure a fast and efficient evacuation of the building, preventing death or injury. Hotels are often unfamiliar to guests and visitors.

To put this statement into perspective, the UK had almost 31 million visits by overseas residents in 2011 according to the Office for National Statistics. Many of these would have spent at least one night in a hotel bedroom, having had little awareness of evacuation routes from the building and no familiarity with the hotel's fire safety regime — making clear, illuminated escape signage all the more critical if power is lost during an emergency.

Then there are occasional visitors to consider – contractors unfamiliar with the site may be working, occasional suppliers may be making deliveries, and utility providers may be servicing equipment.
