Warehouse Line Leader

Hochiki require a Warehouse Line Leader to support the Supervisor in running a smooth operation to meet customer demands. Accuracy and efficiency will be required in this role whilst managing a small team across Goods-In and Stores.

Role Purpose

Responsible for Stock and Stores Replenishment.

 

Who you’ll report to

Warehouse Supervisor

 What you’ll be doing:

 

  •  To ensure the efficient receipt of goods in line to set priorities agreed with the Warehouse Supervisor
  •  Processing stock queries and stock allocation on the companies SAP Business 1 system
  •  To ensure safe storage of goods to prevent damage or loss of stock
  •  Allocate work to stores and warehouseman(s)
  • Responsible for performing cycle counts of stock and reporting
  • Reconcile any stock discrepancies and take appropriate action to ensure these are avoided
  •  Assist in the training of new starters and cross training throughout the warehouse
  •  Arranging the issue of stock to outside vendors
  • Work alongside the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure that SOP’s are followed for Stock management
  • Reconcile deliveries with internal departments such as Procurement and Accounts
  • Support with the replenishment of components for Production to ensure continual flow
  • Managing the inward and outward flow of job/sub- contractual work.

Person Specification

 

We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated and have a passion to contribute to the success of Hochiki. In addition to this, you will possess the following:

 

Qualifications

  • Essential: GCSE in English and Mathematics
  • Desirable: Understanding of stock control systems, Forklift license

           

Experience

  • Essential: Experience as a people manager, warehouse experience
  • Desirable: Stock control department

 

Knowledge

  • Essential: Health and Safety

Desirable: Fire Industry knowledge

 

Technical skills

  • Essential: Computer Literate with knowledge of Windows operating system
  • Desirable: SAP Business 1
