System Sales Manager - Field Based, Midlands UK

We currently have a vacancy for a System Sales Manager in the Midlands area to work as part of our UK Sales Team. In this role, you will achieve the monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives for the region through building effective relationships with existing customers, developing new sales routes and promoting Hochiki products and services. You will also generate product specification into key market sectors and work towards further development of the territory’s existing and potential customer base.

What you’ll be doing:

 

  • Work with End users to understand the challenges of delivering a life safety solution that meets and exceeds their objectives to deliver a safe and efficient operating facility.
  • Work with Consultants to assist in the design and delivery of projects to meet the needs of life safety systems and position Hochiki to benefit from the specification of key features within the range that deliver an advantage against its competitors.
  • Ensure regular visits to Consultants, End users and System partners to deliver a complete solution.
  • Deliver workshop/Seminars and ongoing training to system solution partners.
  • Deliver CPD/ training seminars to End users and Consultants.
  • Support End users with complete solution with joint visits with system solution partners.
  • Site support to system solution partners to assist with the delivery of system solutions.
  • Influence the market for the correct use of fire detection systems
  • Develop a true business development strategy via a vertical market approach and drive sales via appropriate channel.
  • Work with and help influence key life safety institutions like the FIA as an example.
  • Monitor and report changes in competitor situation
  • Assist with exhibitions and seminars
  • Maintain and understand industry standards and potential changes to compliance and how this impacts our sales strategy.
  • Preparation and timely presentation of quotations, forecasts and visit reports
  • Monitor and control customer credit status
  • Accurate and timely submission of all administrative paperwork including monthly expenses
  • Production of other reports as and when requested 
  • Effective communication across the company in a timely fashion on any issues which would affect those departments

Person Specification

 

We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated and have a passion to contribute to the success of Hochiki. In addition to this, you will possess the following:

 

 Qualifications

 

  • Essential: Industry qualifications
  • Desirable: Knowledge in both fire and emergency lighting
  • Trained on BS 5839- 2017 and BS 5266

 

Experience

 

  • Essential: 5+ years in a similar role with a proven track record in sales
  • Essential: Strong background of delivering technical seminars/meetings to senior industry leaders within UK End User and Consultant sector. 

 

Knowledge and Technical Skills

 

  • Essential: Ability to assist clients with designing life safety systems
  • Desirable: Commercial experience
  • Desirable: Hands on experience within the fire industry
  • Essential: Computer Literate with knowledge of Windows operating system
  • Desirable: Working knowledge of SAP
