Strategic Marketing Manager

Role Purpose Develop, oversee and coordinate marketing initiatives and programs to enable Hochiki Europe to exceed its’ sales and growth objectives. Working strategically with all stakeholders to define and deliver our brand values and elevating brand awareness to be recognised as the best within the life safety, fire and protection markets.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage, monitor and oversee the Marketing budget with a commercial approach, ensuring that it is in line with the Marketing business plan.
  • Manage, lead and develop a team, overseeing marketing, graphic design and communication activities.
  • Measure, evaluate and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Accountability for department KPIs and align to the overall business objectives and key sales strategy.
  • Provide strategic input into the overall sales & marketing and product strategy
  • Work in unison with all sales departments developing a clear road map and growth plan
  • Responsible for all internal and external communication, including working with the trade press and media and overseeing the marketing/ media agency.
  • Facilitate and attend all exhibitions across Hochiki Europe and deliver a consistent, aligned approach.
  • Oversee the creation of product specifications and technical documentation for use by internal and external design teams.
  • Understand the market requirements and industry trends and assist with the identification of possible new products for inclusion in Hochiki Europe’s Portfolio.
  • Responsible for monitoring and recording customer satisfaction, ensuring relevant action is taken
  • Driving the business understanding of competitor information and market analyses, using this information to input into strategic decisions
  • Oversee Sales Lead monitoring and follow up, making recommendations for improved promotional activities/ media coverage
  • Own and develop the digital footprint across all assets.
  • Routinely attend management, sales, project, and budget meetings, providing input into business initiatives

Person Specification


We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated and have a passion to contribute to the success of Hochiki. In addition to this, you will possess the following:



  • Essential: A bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Marketing or Business Administration, or Level 6 Professional Marketing Diploma.
  • Must be a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.



  • Essential: Previous experience in a strategic marketing field. Experience managing and leading a team of people
  • Desirable: Experience in a technical sales industry would be an advantage



  • Essential: Understanding of current Marketing trends in the external business environment. Understanding of how to manage a budget


Technical skills

  • Essential: Computer Literate with advanced knowledge of Windows operating system, knowledge of multi- media platforms, social media and the internet
  • Desirable: Graphics and design programme skills
