Regional Sales Manager - Hochiki Italia (HIT)

A rare opportunity has arisen to join Hochiki Italia as a field based sales manager, covering the North West Italy region. Suitable for an experienced and dedicated regional sales manager, the successful candidate will need to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual objectives by building effective relationships with existing customers through promoting Hochiki products and services through technical support and training. This role will also support with further development of potential customers within the region

Location: Field Based

Reporting to: Sales Director - Hochiki Italia

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop existing customers through excellent relationship management
  • Train and educate new and existing customers on complete product range
  • Regular liaison with consultants and architects from the industry
  • Influence the market for the correct use of fire detection systems
  • Ensure regular customer contact is maintained
  • Investigate the market and identify new key customers in the defined region
  • Monitor and report changes in competitor situation
  • Regular travel to customers, prospects and, where required, end-users
  • Assist with exhibitions, presentations and translation work (when required)
  • Ensure a comprehensive level of personal product knowledge is maintained
  • Preparation and timely presentation of quotations, forecasts and visit reports
  • Monitor and control customer credit status
  • Accurate and timely submission of all administrative paperwork including monthly expenses
  • Production of other reports as and when requested
  • Effective communication across the company on any issues which would affect those departments

Person Specification


We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated and have a passion to contribute to the success of Hochiki. In addition to this, you will possess the following:



  • Essential: Degree level or equivalent; Holder of EU driving license



  • Essential: 5+ years in a similar, sales focussed role



  • Essential: Fluent in native Italian language; Knowledge of working in a technical industry; Good understanding of English language
  • Desirable: Experience of working in the Fire Industry


Technical skills

  • Essential: Computer Literate with knowledge of Windows operating system;
  • Desirable: Working knowledge of SAP Business 1 (Training will be provided)


Personal qualities

-      Excellent communication skills with customers and colleagues

-      Good teamwork as well as ability to work alone as a remote worker

-      Ability to be organized and plan workload efficiently

-      Confident at delivering presentations and training
