Quality Inspector

Responsible for fulfilling the role of quality Inspector; this is a hands-on position. Ensure the quality of the parts produced at HE or materials received from suppliers meets customer expectations; quickly and effectively act when non-conformities are found. Maintain the most recent interpretations of the quality system requirements and therefore ensure that documented practices meet the true interpretation of the integrated management system standards.

Who you’ll report to: Compliance Manager

 

What you’ll be doing:

 

  • Goods In and Final Inspection activities using vendor ratings, sampling plan and component specifications.
  • Product Auditing and Testing.
  • Support of non-conforming components to relevant parties.
  • Internal and external calibration for test and manufacturing equipment.
  • Assistance with the processing of customer returns and complaints.
  • Inspection of special processes i.e. special labelling, kitting and assemblies
  • Creation of inspection specifications
  • Participate in first article inspections (FAI) for supplied materials or products.
  • Any other reasonable duties requested by your manager.

Qualifications

Desirable: Mechanical or Electrical Engineering experience or equivalent but not essential as full training will be given.

Knowledge
