The CHQ-HUSH Module is the interface operated by the tenant within a dwelling of an HMO to silence a nuisance alarm. The module has been designed to fit a standard double-gang back box, either surface or flush fitted. The unit features three LED indicators for "SUPPLY PRESENT" (green), "LOCAL ALARM" (red), "HUSHED" (amber) and a "HUSH" button. In the event of a nuisance alarm (burnt cooking fumes for example) the tenant can operate the CHQ-HUSH Module which prevents the alarm condition from activating the whole building alarm system, thus avoiding an unnecessary building evacuation. If after a set time period (normally two minutes) the cause of the initial alarm is still present (for example - a real fire) then the alarm condition is sent to the main building alarm system - initiating a building wide evacuation. The CHQ-HUSH Kit contains one CHQ-HUSH Module. PDFs
