The installation programme was carried out by BAFE [British Approvals for Fire Equipment] approved Challenge Alarm Services.  In total 380 Hochiki ESP [Enhanced System Protocol] analogue addressable devices were linked to an Advanced Electronics' 4-loop panel, interfaced to shut down various items of plant throughout the Victorian building, including fire door release mechanisms and skylight and roof window opening devices.
