Hochiki Safeguards Exeter University Campus

No fewer than 8,434 Hochiki detection and alarm devices have so far been installed throughout the University of Exeter’s complex campus site as part of a sophisticated, networked installation that encompasses a total of 35 analogue addressable and conventional fire alarm systems.

The University of Exeter, Devon, UK.
The Hochiki ESP or Enhanced System Protocol sensors currently support a total of 39 Kentec Syncro control panels installed and commissioned by Exeter-based Alarmtec Limited. These panels are the main control equipment for new-build and refurbished individual University buildings and network systems within the extensive student accommodation, academic, research and sports buildings.

Currently the 15,500-student University is in the throes of a £450 million capital project that includes a £48 million redevelopment of the centre of the Streatham Campus, a £25 million investment in the Business School, and £18 million for new facilities for biosciences. It is also working with the University Partnerships Programme to deliver a £150 million student residences programme.
