In 1972 Hochiki established Hochiki America Corporation in order to cater for the growing demand in the American market. 

Hochiki America now has over 70 employees, a fully operational factory, established sales and technical support facilities.  Having expanded its plant in California in the late 1980's, Hochiki America now manufactures UL and FM approved products.
